Wanting to create a new venue dedicated to photography and contemporary art Arnaud Adida founded A. Galerie in 2009.
Situated close to the Pont d’Alma in the 16th arrondissement A. Galerie neighbours La Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent, Palais de Tokyo, Musée d’Art Moderne and Palais Galliera. Arnaud Adida wanted to distinguish himself geographically from the traditional gallery areas of St Germain des Près and the Marais.
After an extensive career in media working for both magazines, press agencies and directing Corbing Outline France until 2004, he decided 16 years ago to fully dedicate his time to his passion, photography, and therefore opened two galleries, Acte 2 and then A. Galerie.
Today A. Galerie exposes some of the world’s most renowned photographers including Elliott Erwitt, Martin Schoeller, David Yarrow, Steve Schapiro, Albert Watson, Rankin, Mark Seliger, Jimmy Nelson, Patrick Demarchelier and Ron Galella but also French artists such as Bruno Aveillan, Claude Gassian and François Fontaine.
A Galerie opened its second gallery in Brussels in March 2014.
